No Dream is Too Small, Here's Mine +Tips on Achieving Yours <3

안녕하세요! Hi! Hola! Salut!
저는 재리내입니다. I'm Zaylin. Me llamo Zaylin. Je m'appelle Zaylin.

As a language lover, learner, and student, I've tried various ways of teaching myself languages and exposing myself to different cultures (as we both know how amazing it is to open ourselves up to the world around us)! Here are my language learning goals and achievements:
Goals:
- Become fluent in at least 4 languages
- Live in the prime location of each culture for 2 months at least
- Meet those who inspired me to learn the languages I do (Stray kids, Enhypen, BTS, Ateez, NCT, etc.)

Achievements:
- Fluent in 2 languages
- Intermediate in 1
- Advanced beginner but not yet intermediate for 1 (Korean)

Overall DREAM:
-Study Abroad in South Korea for at least a semester

I'm currently working a part-time job as well as doing a program called TKS (The Knowledge Society- check it out), and going to school from 8-5:30 every day. Though it has been difficult keeping up with all my activities and passions, nothing is more inspiring to me than my 2 Korean teachers, 정민 (Jeongmin) and 제이 (Jay). They push me to do better and have helped me in achieving my goals a great amount. Without them, I don't know where I'd be in my Korean learning journey. Talking with them in Korean and seeing my improvement has to be one of the most refreshing and motivating things right now. Out of every outcome for myself, there's nothing I want more than to become fluent in Korean and live in Korea for a few years in my future. I will do anything and everything to study abroad in Korea next year.

TIPS AND MOTIVATION FOR YOU:
- Have a reason why (why did you start, what is your goal, what is the purpose of your journey)
- Understand where you want to end up. It doesn't matter which path you take if you don't know what your destination is.
- Discipline yourself! Though motivation is important, discipline is more necessary as it can help you develop that motivation.
- Have an accountability partner. Talk to someone about your weekly goals or to-do's so you can check in with them and they can keep you accountable (hint: this CAN be your tutor)
Lastly: Never stop believing in yourself. You've already made it this far, and I'm so proud of you. Keep going, you got this. Let's see each other grow and support another!

QUOTES TO WRAP THIS UP:
- Your life is as good as your mindset
- You can. You will. End of Story. (I can. I will. End of Story.)
- Progress is progress, no matter how small it may seem.
- Trust your process
- Don't quit, prove everyone wrong. Prove yourself right.
YOU GOT THIS! <3

  • I really enjoyed your Korean study story. I hope you can communicate with more people and enjoy it by studying Korean. Because there are so many good people in Korea! I hope we can meet again if we are meant to be. Actually, I am teaching Korean, too. If you have any questions about Korean culture or travel food, please feel free to ask! I'll be waiting
  • It is my honor to practice Korean with you Zaylin~!! I will do my best to help you achieve your goals! If you feel tired, you can see someone walking(or running...? Haha) with you on the path~!
