The Journey to Understand Thailand

Thailand always holds a special place in my heart.
The country, the people, the busy traffic and sweaty weather.
Travelers typically will have a booklet for quick guide to help us communicate with local people in order for us to shop, find places that we do not know.

Unlike many travelers, I know my girlfriend and married her, we had been happily married for 8 years.

Despite marrying a Thai, been speaking Thai with my wife everyday which many would deemed that it is good enough and sufficient.

However, inside me, I strongly believe in order to under the culture, it is not about speaking the language, I need to learn how to write the language.

From where i come from, it is fortune for me to learn both English and Chinese. Therefore i feel strongly again to learn how the characters of Thai works and the origins of the words.

Then one day, i came across Amazingtalker through my friend, and immediately signed up for a full lesson with Peary.
On first lesson, i told her my goal is to learn how to write and understand the culture better.

After 20 over lessons, i am able to write, understand and even text in thai. Despite it still takes me awhile to read some words. But truly now, i can say i do understand Thai better.
